The evidence that climate change is real and its occurring today is overwhelming. We may probably find tales of extreme weather events stirring all over the world by quickly scrolling through the news feed. Examples of these disasters include drought in the Horn of Africa, wildfires in Chile, heat waves in Asia, and flooding in eastern Africa & South Asia. And that’s only from the year’s opening several months. A study from the Indian Institute of Tropical Meteorology indicates that the number of cyclones in the Arabian Sea has increased by 52%, while the number of very severe cyclones has increased by 150%. This increase has been attributed to global warming-induced increases in moisture availability and ocean temperatures.
