The Asian Development Bank's Youth for Asia (YfA) initiative, alongside the ADB Institute and Plan International, is currently holding the Asia Pacific Youth Symposium, a social dialogue platform that convenes governments, young leaders, and other stakeholders to discuss major and emerging issues related to Youth Economic Empowerment (YEE) and the new normal impacted by COVID-19. From 7-11 September, the event will be hosting online consultation sessions aimed at relevant issues and solutions related to youth employment, meaningful youth engagement, and inclusive COVID-19 responses. 

On behalf of the ADB YfA initiative, I would like to invite you and your network to participate in one of the event's online consultation sessions and provide your expertise and input as part of the civil society sector. As a participant, you will be conducting a brief interview with a colleague from your sector (youth or non-youth) as well as take part in a consultation session, each focused on a different topic that aims to identify a preferred future for youth employment in the new normal:

• Youth and the Green Economy - 7 September, 17:00-19:30 GMT+8
• Youth and the Digital Economy - 9 September, 17:00-19:30 GMT+8
• Youth and the Informal Economy - 11 September, 17:00-19:30 GMT+8

We anticipate around 100 participants consisting of youth from ADB member governments, academia, development, and private sector representatives from across Asia and the Pacific region to participate in each online session.
