Dear Colleagues,

Over the coming months we will be working with partners to coordinate 30 Leave No One Behind National Dialogues and we’re keen to involve you in the process.

The pledge to Leave No One Behind (LNB) is at the heart of the 2030 Sustainable Development Agenda, with this in mind CIVICUS, Development Initiatives and Project Everyone are working together to make sure that the needs of the most marginalised are brought to the forefront of policy and are recipients of the resources and programmes being mobilised by the Global Goals for Sustainable Development.

By working with national partners in 30 key countries to develop materials and resources to facilitate national-level dialogues on LNB, we plan to:
  • Build a national multi-stakeholder coalition on the LNB agenda
  • Identify key recommendations to present to decision makers
  • Create an accountability process to ensure the LNB commitment is integral to the delivery of the goals
  • Support innovative solutions that are directly working towards the goals
This will include utilising data, organising workshops, facilitating public engagement in the LNB agenda, and helping communities report on the progress of implementation for the goals.

We are beginning the process in pilot countries over the next few months (August-October). These countries are:
  • Argentina
  • Brazil
  • Colombia
  • Fiji
  • India
  • Jamaica
  • Nepal
  • Nigeria
  • Philippines
  • Sierra Leone
  • South Africa
  • Tanzania
  • Togo
  • Uganda
  • Zimbabwe
If you are working in one of these countries and would like to participate in the national dialogues, please fill out this form and the lead organization in your country will be in touch with you.

Additionally, we are excited to announce an open call for the next round of countries. If you are working in one of the countries listed below and want to become a lead organization for the National Dialogues, or to receive information on the process, please fill out this form. The next round is intended to run from September through November and include:
  • Afghanistan
  • Bangladesh
  • Bolivia
  • Cambodia
  • East Timor
  • Egypt
  • El Salvador
  • Kenya
  • Lebanon
  • Mexico
  • Morocco
  • Pakistan
  • Peru
  • Rwanda
  • Tunisia
With your help, we can help inform governments and communities about the solutions needed to tackle extreme poverty and exclusion, facilitate cross-sector partnerships, and identify opportunities for the world’s most marginalised people.
